Finciples is a personal finance-focused education, software, and media organization.
Finciples helps you learn personal finance and investing from first principles. It provides you with powerful tools to make important decisions about your financial future. Finciples will host a gated community of vetted individuals with whom you can discuss investing, the financial markets, and your own personal finance questions.
Finciples was founded in 2020 by Iavor Botev.
Founder
Hi, I'm Iavor Botev!
I worked for more than 6 years as an investment manager in a large institutional asset manager in The Netherlands. During that time, together with my colleagues, we invested billions of euros of our clients' money.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, I decided to resign from my job in order to focus full-time on Finciples.

Iavor's Bio
Iavor Botev is the founder of Finciples, a personal finance-focused education, software, and media organization.
From 2013 to 2020, prior to starting Fincples, Iavor worked as an investment manager in the Multi Asset team of Aegon Asset Management in The Hague, The Netherlands. There he managed in a team multi-million global tactical asset allocation, commodities, and listed real estate equities funds, and was a key contributor to various tactical asset allocation investment decisions.
Iavor holds:
- MSc in Statistics (Merit) from the University of Sheffield in the UK,
- MSc in Finance and Investments (Cum Laude) from RSM, Erasmus University in The Netherlands,
- BA in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) and BA in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from the American University in Bulgaria.
Iavor has successfully passed the three levels of examination necessary to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter.
Principles
These are our principles, that is, the propositions that guide our behavior here at Finciples.
01 TRUTH

❥ Own both the good and the bad outcomes of your own actions.

❥ Treat others fairly, that is, based on how they personally act, not based on preconceived notions related to gender, nationality, race, age, sexual orientation, etc.
❥ The rewards you receive ought to be commensurate with your own contributions.
